"X-Plain" is the patient education software we publish. X-Plain is reviewed by physicians and healthcare providers practicing in the USA (click here to learn more about our editorial policies).

We have published more than 1000 X-Plain topics. Every X-Plain module is available in the following main instructional formats:

• Interactive Tutorial
  An interactive multimedia program that displays information, asks questions, and gives feedback. A tutorial progresses at the patient’s pace (learn more).


• Video Presentation
  A multimedia presentation that uses text, illustrations, animations, video, and narration to present health information. It is self-running and does not include questions.


• Illustrated Handout
  A peer-reviewed text with illustrations to display and print health information and instructions.
