Usability and Accessibility

X-Plain is designed for all patients and consumers regardless of their educational level, ability, or familiarity with computers.

• X-Plain textual content is simplified to the 6th grade reading level and is supplemented by full narration of the text.
• For patients that are not familiar with the mouse or keyboard, all X-Plain modules are designed to work with touchscreen monitors, tablet PCs, or other touch devices that require no computer experience.
• X-Plain modules are available in English and Spanish.
• X-Plain Modules comply with Section 508 (Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as revised in 1998).
• The font size in X-Plain is large and can be increased further by senior citizens or people with visual impairment.
