X-Plain at the Bedside

At the hospital bedside, the patient may have a TV, a tablet, or another patient device for entertainment, food selection, or education. X-Plain is made available through these devices, often by working with the vendor of the edutainment bedside system to provide X-Plain videos.
The client determines the content needed and can choose from over 2,500 videos in several languages. When available on a bedside system integrated with the EMR, the bedside patient station can present videos based on diagnostic and procedure coding. It can also document education. We offer clients and healthcare IT partners many techniques for delivering and updating the video library, from mpg files to webservices and Infobuttons. The subscription fee includes our standard Services and is based on the number of licensed topics, which ranges from $80/topic/year for one topic to $16/topic/year for an extensive library (750 topics or more).
